Talking about the text
Discuss in pairs or small groups
Answer: I recently watched an interview of Mitali Raj which was conducted by Gaurav Kapur under the banner of ‘Breakfast with Champions’.
Right at the beginning of the interview I visualized the power of interviewer. Gaurav made Mitali Raj accept that reading a book in dug out is unusual. She was very candid to say this to Gaurav.
We can see the facial expressions and movement of hands to understand emotions behind the words spoken.
They talk freely about the impact of social media and hacking of social media accounts. Several other challenges are spelt out.
Some of the personal family aspect and chit-chat among team members, discussion of the dressing room etc. were talked. Thus the strength of this medium to bring about the truth to audience was visible.
Overall it gave a good understanding about the game, the players, playing conditions and improvement in infrastructure over a period of time.
Answer: I like television for an interview. This is the only media that allows to observe expressions of the interviewee as well as that of the interviewer. So we can observe not only the words and tone but also the intensity of emotions behind the words. This helps us to visualize the completeness of communication.
Since the communication is recorded there is no opportunity for any person to allege misquoting or wrong interpretation. The print media and the radio does not have this advantage.
Hence I prefer television over other media for an interview.
Answer: Privacy is a right of not only a common person but of a celebrity also. Every person likes to keep one’s family life close to oneself. The same holds good for the personal preferences about kind of clothing, food, customs and culture one relishes or abhors. Asking questions about these aspects can be difficult proposition for any person.
Sometimes interviewers ask questions pertaining to the aspects considered for taking a particular decision. They do not relaise that answering such question may not be in the interest of the team or it could even be against the nation.
If the person does not answer such questions or gets irritated, the interviewer is quick to label him as arrogant, reserved or with any other adjective.
In my opinion we must respect privacy of every person and refrain from labeling a person. We should restrict ourselves to the domain of public life and be courteous and humble while interviewing a person.

All along he has been pursuing his philosophical interests be it his academic writing or other literary works. Hence his works have a joyfulness and personal quality built into it.
His writing style is like story telling. He did not wait for the right moment to start his literary works. He turned every moment of his life into right moment. He is considered a legend when it comes to semiotics.
