INFORMAL LETTER – INVITATION
A. Informal letters of invitations are written on the pattern of personal letter.
B. These letters are written to friends, relatives or known persons.
C. Try to use first person and second person pronouns only.
D. The format is as under
1. Name of sender
2. Address of the sender
4. Salutation – write name of receiver or the relation. For example Dear Suresh, Respected Mother, Dear Sister Sushila etc.
5. Write 3 para in the content.
(i) Para 1 – Give reason of the invitation
(ii) Para 2 – Give details about venue and timing. If required you can mention about other participants.
(iii) Para 3 –In this para you can write – Request you to join or I am sure you will be there, Request to confirm your participation etc.
6. Close the letter by writing – Yours Affectionately, Your Friend, Your Brother etc.
